RTK flat panel is a device that uses sub-differential positioning. It determines the receiver's precise location by receiving signals transmitted by satellites. Traditional differential positioning requires receiving signals from at least four satellites simultaneously for triangulation to determine the position. RTK flat panel employs a more precise positioning method, achieving sub-meter accuracy.

 

Working Principle of RTK Flat Panel
The working principle of an RTK flat panel can be divided into two parts: a base station and a rover.

  1. Base Station: The base station is a key component of the RTK flat panel positioning system. It is typically a fixed device with a known location, used to receive and process satellite signals. The base station's task is to periodically measure the received satellite signals and their corresponding errors, and then broadcast this data after differential calculation.
  2. Rover: The rover is the mobile part of the RTK flat panel system and the main device we use. It achieves high-precision positioning by receiving differential data broadcast from the base station and combining it with its own received satellite signals. The rover continuously communicates and interacts with the base station, receiving and processing differential data transmitted by the base station in real time. It then applies the correction information to the raw data in the rover measurement, thereby obtaining high-precision position results.
